Tomcat Motorsport Ltd are looking for a mechanic / engineer / car builder. This is not a typical ‘motor garage’ mechanic role; it is a diverse role which will involve building and part building of Tomcat road and competition cars, repairs (racing damage) and servicing, as well as other types of off-road and track competition vehicle repairs, builds and fabrication.

The individual will need to be a capable mechanic, resourceful, and have the ability to solve technical and build problems. Competence with the build and repair of electrical systems, light fabrication skills, experience with fibre glass and fibre glass repairs, welding skills, and machining skills are preferred but not essential.

The successful candidate would be working under the project engineer and alongside other permanent and self-employed people in a similar role. The role can be part-time if required; this role would suit a qualified mechanic looking for a change or a skilled car builder looking for part-time work in retirement. Road and off testing will be required, so applicants must possess a clean UK driving licence.
