ROLE OVERVIEW The role of a Senior Optimizely Developer at Candyspace is a senior-level position focused on crafting market-leading solutions for clients and championing the cause of technical excellence within the business. You should be a proficient Optimizely developer, ready to tackle any technical challenge or task with confidence and effectiveness. ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES Lead the architecture, design, and development of websites and digital solutions using Optimizely CMS , ensuring best practices and industry standards are met. Collaborate with project managers, designers, QAs, UX/UI specialists, and other developers to create seamless and responsive digital experiences. Ensure the scalability, performance, and security of Optimizely implementations through effective design and coding practices. Conduct code reviews, unit testing, and integration testing to maintain high-quality code and meet project deadlines. Integrate Optimizely solutions with third-party applications and services to enhance functionality and user experience. Provide technical leadership in problem-solving and decision-making processes. Stay abreast of the latest Optimizely features, updates, and best practices to drive innovation and technical excellence within the team. Mentor and guide junior developers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the team. TECHNICAL CAPABILITIES Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in web development, with at least 3 years focused on Optimizely CMS and Commerce development. Strong proficiency in .NET, C#, ASP.NET, MVC, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS. Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS) and DevOps practices is highly desirable. Demonstrated ability to architect and deliver complex web solutions on the Optimizely platform. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under tight deadlines. Strong communication and team collaboration skills. A portfolio of projects that showcases your expertise in Optimizely development. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Optimizely CMS Developer Certification highly desirable PERSONAL SKILLS Good communication and presentation skills. Ability to independently manage and lead meetings, workshops and project playbacks to senior stakeholders. Excellent attention to detail and solution focussed at all times. Calm under pressure and ability to lead others in the same manner. Able to clearly present the relative merits and associated risks of any proposed project solutions.
