Role: Clinical Deputy Care Home Manager Salary: £42,892 per annum Location: Ledbury, Central Midlands Hours: 36 hours per week This includes one 12-hour shift, covering alternate weekends, and three 8-hour supernumerary shifts We are looking for an experienced Clinical Deputy Manager to join our team in Ledbury. You will play a key part in the clinical coordination of the service; assisting in leading and supervising a large team to ensure the highest standards of care are delivered. As a key leader in our home, you will work closely with the local community, GPs, and professionals to create a care environment that empowers residents to lead fulfilling lives. Key Responsibilities: * Assist the Registered Manager in leading staff to deliver high-quality care in a safe, supportive environment. * Coordinate and lead the nursing team to provide person-centred care, promoting dignity, privacy, independence, and equality. * Ensure the effective operation of the nursing units and maintain communication with external health professionals. * Oversee infection control measures and conduct audits across the service. * Act as a role model and provide leadership by being approachable and visible to all employees. * Manage the nursing unit, ensuring smooth admissions and discharges, and support recruitment and onboarding of new staff. * Conduct performance reviews, appraisals, and mentorship for employees. * Address complaints and suggestions promptly, ensuring actions are taken within set timeframes. * Support the Registered Manager in building a positive workplace culture and maintaining high levels of employee engagement. * Provide leadership in the absence of the Registered Manager, escalating concerns when necessary. The Ideal Candidate: * A qualified nurse with a valid NMC Pin. * Experience in a similar role, such as Deputy Manager, Clinical Lead, or Senior Nurse. * Expertise in elderly care and person-centred approaches. * Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage and develop staff effectively. * Commitment to providing high-quality care and improving the wellbeing of residents.
