Employment Associate 4PQE+ Full-Time and Part-Time Cardiff Summary: A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an Employment Law Associate to join a top 100 UK law firm in Cardiff. The successful candidate will be responsible for a mixed caseload of contentious and non-contentious work, providing advice on a range of employment law matters and conducting Employment Tribunal litigation. In addition to their legal expertise, the ideal candidate will have strong advocacy skills, excellent client relationship-building abilities, and the desire to contribute proactively to the firm’s business plan. Full Details: Our client, a leading full-service UK law firm, is seeking a skilled Employment Law Associate to join their Employment and HR Services team in their Cardiff Office. With a strong focus on providing comprehensive employment law advice and support, our client’s team handles a range of issues including corporate and commercial matters, training, and employment tribunal litigation. They pride themselves on going beyond just providing legal advice by considering the wider business implications of their recommendations. In this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing a varied caseload of contentious and non-contentious matters. While most of the work will be for respondents, experience acting for individuals will be advantageous. Key responsibilities include advising on: Unfair dismissal claims, Discrimination claims, TUPE transfers, Business restructuring, Settlement agreements, Company policies and procedures Dismissals Contractual issues You will also engage in Employment Tribunal litigation, draught HR policies and procedures, contribute to marketing efforts through speaking engagements and article writing, and actively participate in networking and business development activities. Experience Requirements: To excel in this role, the ideal candidate will have a minimum of 4 years PQE dealing with contentious and non-contentious Employment experience and possess strong advocacy skills. Fluency in the Welsh language is desired, and excellent organisational and time management abilities are essential. Building and maintaining client relationships is a fundamental part of the role, so prior experience in developing excellent client relationships is highly valued.
