We are looking to offer a Group Employment Tax Manager the opportunity to join our expanding Tax – Group Finance team based remotely, with nationwide travel required.
About the role
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Employment Tax Manager to join our team reporting to the Group Head of Tax. In this role, you will work closely with the Group Head of Tax and HR colleagues across payroll, rewards & benefits, and resourcing to provide in-house expertise in all areas of employment tax.
As the Group Employment Tax Manager, you’ll get the opportunity to:
- Lead on employment tax compliance and reporting: Work closely with the HR and finance teams to ensure accurate and timely filing of all employment tax returns e.g. P11Ds, PSAs, ERSs, Termination payments and STBVs.
- Advise and collaborate with stakeholders: Provide expert advice on the employment tax implications related to payroll, CIS, benefits, share schemes, LTIPs, termination payments, workforce policies and expenses.
- Off payroll working and contingent workforce compliance: Partner with the HR, commercial and finance teams to provide expert advice related to IR35, contractor tax status and third-party labour providers to ensure compliance with employment tax obligations.
- Global mobility and cross border taxation: Provide advice and recommendations to inform business decisions relating to internationally mobile employees, ensuring appropriate management of tax and social security compliance, short term business visitor obligations and expatriate tax risks.
- Drive continuous improvements: Lead the development and implementation of employment tax process improvements by collaborating closely with HR, Payroll and Finance teams. Enhance tax efficiencies and savings, improve process automation, payroll tax technology enhancements and governance to support the group’s strategic objectives and future proof employment tax obligations.
- Training and knowledge development: Design and deliver tailored training programs and workshops for HR, Payroll and Finance teams to strengthen their understanding of employment tax obligations and best practices. Act as a key point of contact for tax-related education and awareness initiatives across the group.
- Project work: Assist the Group Head of Tax with employment tax guidance on mergers, acquisitions, business restructures and organisation changes ensuring compliance risks are identified and managed.
What you’ll bring?
