A bit about the role: Our client is looking to hire a dedicated Strategic Sourcing Manager for their growing team. In this pivotal role, the successful Strategic Sourcing Manager will provide purchasing support and ensuring that the pricing and suppliers contract are updated. In this role as the Sourcing Manager, youll join the Technical and Development Centre (TDC) team to shape and execute sourcing strategies for new product developments and redesigns. As the Strategic Sourcing Manager, youll focus on building strong supplier relationships, managing budgets, and ensuring timely project progress. Youll also bring key technologies and commercial insights to the team, guiding sourcing decisions to support innovation and speed to market. The Strategic Sourcing Manager will build and maintain sourcing processes that connect Technical and Development Centre (TDC) with Production, Purchasing, and Supply Chain teams. Ideally, the Sourcing Manager will be more mechanically bias with a strong influence on the engineering design team and supporting the New Product Development aspect. Whats required: Successful candidates will be capable of dealing with a wide range of commodities, with Mechanical experience Candidates will need to have at least 10 years in Sourcing, Finance, Legal, or Commercial roles. Background in Business Management or Technical fields (e.g., Degree level preferred). Technical understanding with strong communication skills to relay requirements internally and externally. Ability to lead sourcing decisions and influence technical and commercial project goals. Familiar with design, manufacturing, and qualification processes. Creative and adaptable, capable of solving project challenges effectively. Excellent negotiation and supplier management skills.
