RECRUITMENTiQ is working in partnership with a leading wholesaler and exporter of retail, foodservice, and wholesale branded products in Scotland. We specialize in working with all major FMCG chambers, including ambient, frozen, chilled, pharmaceutical, branded apparel, and alcohol. Our family-run business has a vast portfolio of over 2000 branded products, which we source and supply to domestic and international customers. We pride ourselves on being market leaders in our sector and strive to collaborate and partner with our customers and suppliers. This is a full-time on-site role as a Junior National Account Manager within our Sales Department. (The role is 100% office based) In this role, you will be responsible for managing and developing relationships with key National Account customers across the discount, convenience, and wholesale channels. As a Junior NAM, you will be well organised and able to analyse performance metrics, market trends, identifying business opportunities and maximizing sales growth. You will also collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure customer satisfaction and successful account management. SETs traditional Grey Trading business is constantly evolving to market changes, this challenging role will involve excellent customer service and support throughout a period of significant disruption and opportunity due to on-going issues with inflation and availability. SETs Licensed Brands are currently experiencing high growth which is forecasted to increase significantly in the next few years, this challenging role will be to lead and deliver this growth opportunity through your designated customers supported by marketing investment and NPD that is attractive to each channel. The cultural and business DNA is an exciting mix of both Long-Term Strategic Planning along with huge dominance of Entrepreneurial Flair at all levels. The Junior NAM role will be key to champion this growth through excellent account management, customer support and the identification of growth initiatives through category data and insights for both Grey Trading and Licensed Brands and is an opportunity for individual growth of existing and new skills. What youll do: Full commercial responsibility for negotiating product prices, promotions and customer trading terms. Drive distribution of existing products whilst managing the product mix to maximise margins. Gain listings in new customers and product categories that the business does not currently have a presence in. Represent the company at trade show events and meetings. Stay up to date with internal and external developments within the grocery Essential experience: Strong sales and negotiation skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written. 2 year’s experience in a similar sales role within FMCG sector. Strong customer account skills especially within discount, export and wholesale channels. Experience in account management and building customer relationships. Knowledge of retail, foodservice, or wholesale industry. Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software. High attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Availability to travel as required for regular store visits, head office meetings and trade shows. Excellent IT skills (MS Excel, Microsoft and analytical skills).
