For an experienced M&E Facilities/ Project Manager to join the team on a permanent basis
The role requires security clearance to BPSS level.
The role
Reporting to the Senior Project Manager, the Facilities/ project manager will enable the delivery of a variety of heating maintenance projects across 8 sites in Lincolnshire, Notts and Leicestershire. You must be willing and able to travel between all 8 sites as business demands.
This role will see you ensure that all M&E Billable Works projects are delivered safely and within agreed timelines and budget, oversee and manage the Statutory Compliance state of sites within the area of responsibility, ensuring that any overdue Statutory and Mandatory Tasks are adequately mitigated for risk following consultation and identify opportunities on establishments to support the MoD’s Net Zero carbon reduction targets and initiate Billable Works initiatives to achieve them.
You will also monitor and manage the external Contractors project teams to ensure suitably qualified and experienced operatives are directed to relevant tasks and ensure that all operatives have appropriate vehicles, equipment, and skills to perform relevant tasks, monitor and manage the project delivery to ensure that quality, and safe working are consistently achieved throughout all projects, review Risk Assessments and Method Statements to ensure they are to an acceptable standard as well as confer with relevant stakeholders to agree scope & priorities of Billable Works on a regular basis.
About you
First and foremost, you should be an experienced Facilities or Project Manager from an M&E background, with HNC or equivalent qualification in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, with the ability to project manage multiple projects at once. Excellent IT skills are needed as this is more office based than site.
Strong IT skills are essential, along with excellent communication and organisational skills.
To be considered for this position, you must hold a full UK driving licence and be able to pass SC Clearance.
