Sales and Procurement Manager in Cornwall. Must have relevant experience with buying and selling of aircraft parts. Overseas and UK candidates welcome. Sponsorship available if necessary.

This is a full-time on-site role located in Liskeard. The Sales and Procurement Manager will be responsible for:

  • Supplier evaluation, contract negotiation, analytical skills, procurement, and contract management on a day-to-day basis.
  • Directing, managing, and motivating all stores personnel and encouraging teamwork within the department and the wider business.
  • Overseeing all procurement and sales of parts throughout the business.
  • Assisting with procedures and processes on all aircraft teardowns, storage, preservation, and part sales within the Part 145 regulatory environment.
  • Developing procedures and processes to ensure Stores at all locations are Part 145 compliant and meet regulatory standards.
  • Serving as a point of contact for all Stores/Logistics/Procurement enquiries during working hours and, within reason, out of hours.
  • Organising appropriate training for all Stores personnel including Aerotrac, Part 145, Form 1/8130/TC documentation.
  • Liaising with customers, suppliers, and logistical support companies.
  • Developing and maintaining a procedure to ensure that stock levels of regularly used aircraft spares are appropriate across all bases.
  • Ensuring that progress chasing is carried out to ensure timely delivery of all procured goods and spares.
  • Ensuring that the calibration of tooling is carried out within the required timescales and documented.
  • Ensuring acceptance and recording of new tools and equipment including calibration details.
  • Organising approved third-party companies to assist with maintenance and hangar activities including the provision of suitable records and documentation where required.
  • Ensuring appropriate processes and systems are in place to maximise the efficiency of logistics operations (e.g. customs clearance, transport requests, receipt and dispatch of goods, import/export).
  • Making visits to third-party company businesses, customers, and sites as appropriate to develop working relations to ensure stores/logistics business development.
  • Conducting management reviews and/or follow-up on audit observations to assist in the improvement of procedures and practices related to stores and logistics.
  • Thriving in a dynamic, high-energy team environment.
  • Being adaptable to travel to various sites across the UK as needed.
