SLR Recruitment have an exciting new opportunity for a skilled Gas Engineer to join a team within the Building Services and Maintenance Industry. Our clients are looking for their next engineer to become a key part of their Maintenance Department based in Fareham.

About the company:

A well-established construction firm specialising in heating, plumbing and gas engineering with a strong reputation across Hampshire and The South Coast. With more than 40+ years of shared industry experience, they foster a cohesive and collaborative environment, where many employees train, develop, and progress their careers.

About the role:

As an experienced Gas Engineer, you will be working on a range of commercial premises including housing, schools and offices across the Hampshire area and on occasion, sites in Gillingham and Berkshire. Carrying out PPM servicing works as well as reactive maintenance call outs, you will ensure that buildings are safe, compliant, and well-maintained at all times. From minor repairs and scheduled maintenance to replacements and complete system installations, it’s safe to say, no two days will be the same!

Location: Fareham, UK

Salary: £42k - £45k (Negotiable for the right candidate)

Working hours: Monday – Friday (7:00am-16:30pm) depending on site requirements, these hours may vary

Skills & Knowledge:

  • Expertise in commercial work (domestic is a bonus but not essential)
  • Plumbing knowledge and unvented certifications (You will be put through training courses if you are not currently in possession of these)
  • Knowledge of building materials, industry standards, and safety regulations
  • Experience of working with the public, demonstrating excellent customer service
  • Self-motivated, able to prioritize tasks efficiently and manage your own workload

Qualifications required:

  • Full UK Driving license
  • Commercial gas certifications
  • Plumbing & heating knowledge as a bonus but not essential!
