Senior Electrical Engineer Rate per Hour: £45.About the Role: We are looking for an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join our client’s team in Bristol. You will be supporting project delivery across multiple sectors, including residential, commercial, healthcare, education, transportation, defence, and energy. This is a great opportunity for an engineer with strong technical expertise to contribute to innovative, sustainable projects. Understanding and interpreting project briefs. Designing and specifying Electrical Building Services systems (power, lighting, telecoms, security, etc.). Managing the production of detailed calculations using industry-standard software tools (e.g., Excel, Amtech, Dialux/Relux). Working with the BIM team to create models and drawings (Autodesk Revit experience preferred). Conducting site surveys and inspections, monitoring site works. Writing technical reports and notes. Adhering to quality, environmental, and governance processes. Managing project delivery elements, including budget and progress reporting. Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or related fields. Strong proficiency in Amtech/Prodesign, Dialux/Relux, NBS, and Microsoft Office tools. Knowledge of energy and carbon-related data capture and analytics. Understanding of building physics principles (passive design, fabric-first approaches). Experience in design consultancy and contractor environments. Ability to take charge of projects, make decisions, and work proactively. Excellent report writing skills and experience presenting to clients.
