With a globally experienced team, INTEC has managed over 190 projects and achieved an impressive installed and secured capacity of 3.Summary: The BESS Design Engineer is responsible for conceptualising, designing, and implementing battery energy storage solutions tailored to the specific needs of clients and projects. The engineer will collaborate with electrical and mechanical teams to integrate BESS into energy systems, conduct technical feasibility studies, and perform performance simulations to ensure efficient operation. Additionally, the role includes engaging with clients to understand their needs, presenting design concepts, and providing accurate cost estimates. Conceptualise, design, and implement battery energy storage solutions to meet the specific needs of clients and projects. Develop and design Battery Energy Storage Systems based on project requirements, considering factors such as capacity, voltage, energy density, and safety standards. Collaborate with electrical and mechanical engineering teams to integrate BESS into existing or new energy systems. Conduct technical feasibility studies and analyses to evaluate the suitability of different battery technologies for specific applications. Perform performance simulations, system modelling, and energy storage optimisation to ensure efficient and reliable operation. Stay updated on relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations related to BESS design and integration. Ensure that all BESS designs comply with local, national, and international safety and environmental standards. Participate in client meetings to present design concepts, discuss technical specifications, and address concerns. Work with project managers and estimators to provide accurate cost estimates for BESS designs, taking into account materials, labour, and other project-related expenses. Prepare detailed engineering documentation, including technical specifications, drawings, and manuals, to facilitate the construction and operation of BESS Bachelor\’s or higher degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Engineering, or a related field. Proficiency in relevant software tools for simulation and design.
