What you’ll do The Technical Billing Lead role is a varied and interesting role, where no two days are the same. As a Billing Specialist for fixed line retail tariff management, interconnect & 3rd party billing, you will be responsible for several major bill runs and the accurate maintenance of reference data in our Strategic and Legacy billing systems. You’ll also investigate call suspense issues in depth, helping to identify the root causes and support business change activity in this area. Responsible for the accuracy and timeliness of bill runs Managing, investigating and resolving internal queries Responsibility for clearing billing issues (e.g. call suspense queries) and conducting root cause analysis to remove the likelihood of future problems Maintenance of Billing system reference data, including the creation and amendment of rates & tariffs Working alongside New Product Development teams to ensure processes are effectively implemented into Billing frameworks Monitoring of offshore tasks for accuracy/timeliness and reporting against SLAs Input into team reporting Creation, review and control of all process documentation for role for audits compliance. Who you are A proven track record within a billing role in a customer care environment and experience of configuring reference data within billing systems is essential for this role Excellent analytical and investigative skills, with the ability to manage, manipulate and interpret large volumes of data with a methodical approach & attention to detail Deadline/target focused and able to adapt swiftly to changing work environments Ability to prioritise workload and work effectively within a cross functional team Experience of automation and analytical tools such as Power Automate & Power BI would be desirable, but not essential.
