FD Recruit is partnering with a global manufacturing and services business in the recruitment of a Finance Director for the UK and Ireland. This business demonstrates vision; is well established and successful but also driving forward continuous improvement. The role is based in Suffolk, working in a cross-functional and multicultural environment.
Responsible for the Finance, Administration, Service and Logistics Teams, you will demonstrate intercultural adaptability to build successful business relationships with the UK, additional European entities and within the Senior Leadership Team. The motivation, mentoring and management of the Finance Team is key in developing and empowering individuals to reach their full potential and reflects an important company value.
The purpose of the role is to define and ensure the efficient maintenance of processes and financial controls designed to provide accurate information, and compliance – including implementation, automation and improving of systems. Supporting the Managing Director (UK, Northern Europe & Ireland), by producing insightful financial analysis, and the evaluation of potential risks / rewards of operational actions; the identification of strategic options to support business decision making. Taking an active role in contributing to the achievement of business objectives through the optimisation of resources, assets and liabilities while minimising risk exposure. The promotion of collaboration across functional and geographical boundaries.
Areas of responsibility
- Strategic thinking and business partnership
- Financial analysis and provision of dashboards demonstrating and evaluating the company performance.
- Identifying and making recommendations of activity to drive the growth of the business.
- Introduction of new performance management tools and indicators to maximise value creation by the affiliate's
- Development of reporting, budgeting and planning.
- Contribute to the strategic and budgeting planning by translating the decisions into figures, evaluating financial impact and forecasting the financial needs required to implement the decided action
- Tax compliance - complying with tax laws and regulations.
- Fiscal optimisation as well as legal
- Driving the promotion of a financial culture with a collaborative business partnering approach among non-financial Department Heads by communicating proactively, training operations on key financial concepts and infusing a financial approach in the decision-making
- Implement robust Financial Controls including the ERP and reporting procedures.
- Report and present financial analysis and commentary to the Group.
- Create dashboards for Operational Management.
- Investigate yearly budgets and 3-year strategic plans. Comment on variances and propose actions plans to achieve targets.
- Oversee and check the monthly financial information reported to the Group.
- Manage financial resources to achieve targets.
- Implement processes and procedures to improve performance.
- Ensure compliance with local tax, accounting and legal regulations as well as with Group reporting rules and best practices.
- Conduct, when necessary, internal controls and promote the implementation of standard operating procedures and processes to guarantee control over the company's assets and employee's safety.
- Implement the Group Corporate Governance and best practices.
- Manage the legal administration of the company, guarantee full compliance of the operations with labour and corporate regulations.
- As a member of the Executive Committee, support the Managing Director in integrating the HR dimension and ensure compliance with HR Group guidelines and policies.
- Implement accurately and timely compensation packages for all employees, fulfil all social liabilities of the company and assist the Managing Director in personnel administration.
