Working within the systems team, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and implementing control systems for our energy projects. Based in our Westhill office, you will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative solutions in both conventional and renewable energy sectors. Your expertise will contribute to projects involving Carbon Capture and Storage (CC&S) and Power-to-X (PtX), positioning Semco Maritime at the forefront of the global energy transition. In this role, you will be responsible for the full lifecycle of control system projects, from initial design and specification to testing, commissioning, and ongoing support. You will engage with clients to interpret their requirements, ensure compliance with industry standards, and provide technical knowledge throughout the project. This position offers a dynamic and varied workload, with opportunities for on-site and offshore work, allowing you to apply your problem-solving skills and technical knowledge in real-world settings. Produce comprehensive project documentation, including specifications and technical reports. Diagnose and resolve control systems faults, providing support both on-site and remotely. Participate in the systems team on-call support rota to address urgent client needs. Foster the growth and development of the systems engineering team through knowledge sharing and mentorship. Comprehensive experience throughout the project lifecycle, including design, installation, commissioning and ongoing client support. Experience in an engineering environment, ideally within the energy sector. Engage in a variety of challenging projects with opportunities for professional growth.
