We are currently seeking a SHEQ Advisor to join our Health & Safety Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for day-to-day SHEQ audits on site, general health and safety, environmental, quality and energy management.

  • Perform regular SHEQ site inspections and prepare reports of these inspections.
  • Be aware of the Company’s Health and Safety, Environmental, Quality, and Energy Management systems and procedures and ensure their application as they relate to your area of responsibility.
  • Assist in the preparation of safety plan format and updates.
  • Assist the SHEQ Manager in carrying out the 6 monthly review of the SHEQ procedures and forms and ensure all changes made are incorporated into the SHEQ Management Manual and issued to all manual holders.
  • Carry out drugs and alcohol testing on sites when instructed.
  • Liaise with HSE, take part in discussions with bodies concerned with accident prevention, and be aware of current recommended Codes of Practice and new safety literature.
  • Attend safety meetings on site if required.
  • Attend Health & Safety meetings with the SHEQ Manager.
  • Promote the safe conduct of work generally and distribute health and safety information to all relevant staff and operatives.
  • Encourage communication between operatives and SHEQ Department/Management during toolbox talks and inspection visits to site.
  • Attend training courses and seminars as required.
  • Production of method statements and risk assessments.

NEBOSH Certified. Strong IT knowledge, able to operate MS packages like Excel. Able to work diligently with minimal supervision. Hold a valid and current UK driving licence.
