As a Painter and Decorator, you will play a vital role in ensuring that the Schools facilities are maintained to a high standard, creating a safe, comfortable, and visually appealing environment for students, staff, and visitors. Working as part of the Facilities Management team, you will be responsible for carrying out a wide range of painting and decorating tasks across the Schools buildings, including boarding houses, staff accommodation, and offices.

Your duties will include internal and external painting, wallpapering, and applying specialist coatings as part of both routine maintenance and refurbishment projects. You will also support the wider maintenance team in other general repair and upkeep tasks when required.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience in a painting and decorating role, hold an NVQ Level 2 qualification (or equivalent), and demonstrate excellent attention to detail. A strong team player with the ability to work independently, you will take pride in delivering high-quality work while ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently, safely, and in line with health and safety regulations.

Further Information

This is a full time, permanent role and the hours are 37 hours per week (Monday-Thursday, 0800-1630 and Friday 0800-1600). The starting salary for the Painter and Decorator role is £25,252 per annum rising to £27,328 through performance related appraisal.
