Accountancy Practice and Tax recruitment specialists Clark Wood are delighted to be working with a successful and expanding Beaconsfield based firm of chartered accountants who are looking to add a professional and ambitious Personal Tax Senior Manager to their team.
The successful individual will, in conjunction with the Tax Partner, be responsible the management of the firms growing private client tax team which comprises members at varying stages of their careers. You will have responsibility for taking a lead role in the continued success and development of the team, ensuring the efficient provision of a range of technical services to a variety of prestigious clients based across the UK and internationally.
You will have responsibility for your own designated client portfolio which will include the more complex clients the team deal with and will be responsible for managing a team of staff with numerous team members under your line management.
You will play a key role in the continued development and growth of the private client tax team including playing an active role in recruitment of new staff and in business development activities.

Duties & Responsibilities:
You will manage the private client team in conjunction with the Tax Partner to ensure timely and accurate delivery of technical tax services.
Manage and service clients in own portfolio (which includes the most complex clients) and maintaining outside communications with clients and third parties.
Complete complicated client tax returns.
Develop deep relationships with clients.
Leverage the portfolio to generate advisory work and deliver it.
Responsibility for departmental initiatives and programmes whilst continuing involvement in supervision, training and development of the team.
Ensure tax department administration is kept up to date, and routine administration dealt with in a timely manner, such as timesheets and billing.
Manage workloads of junior members of the tax team.
Responsible for the recruitment of graduates and more junior members of the team.
Line manage several individuals.
Liaise and communicate with other departments, clients and partners to generate business leads.
Identify cross selling opportunities to partner through networking.
Actively support Tax Partner.
Responsibility for departmental initiatives and programmes.
Maintain highest level of technical competence and apply in response to clientsβ needs.
Involvement in marketing of the tax service line by attending client functions and seminars.
Skills:
ATT Qualified / CTA Qualified with strong management experience
Staff and client management experience is essential
Business development experience
