A fantastic opportunity for a Restaurant General Manager to escape the rat race running shifts at weekends and evenings and get into something where you can work Monday to Friday office hours while applying all of the skills you have acquired running busy restaurant businesses.

Our client is a leading luxury office provider in the Square Mile - think swanky boutique hotel with all the furnishings, fittings, finishes and a 5-star guest service standard you would expect - but instead of rooms, you have offices.

The Centre Manager position is similar to a General Manager role and oversees the smooth running of the building, the Reception and Concierge departments as well as Housekeeping. You will also be meeting with prospective clients, showing them around the building, as well as taking care of current clients. The offices attract smart, friendly City clientele - typically Hedge Funds, Investment Banks, Asset Management and City Recruitment Firms.

It’s a great working environment but standards and expectations are high, so we are looking for those General Managers that have a honed approach to incredible guest experiences. This is an office-based role five days a week, so you must be based within a sensible reach of The Square Mile.

This significant group is privately owned but is going through a phase of hyper growth as they are on the acquisition trail. We are especially keen to invite applications from General Manager candidates that feel ready for a move out of hospitality and into a corporate lifestyle but also into something exciting with true autonomy.

This is a General Manager role that isn’t going to be for everyone. It’s aimed at a General Manager that is growing tired of the big company thankless corporate contingency and all of the daily tick box exercises and the paperwork that goes with it - or a General Manager who thinks their only two options are either to take on a regional or multi-site role in their next move or get out of hospitality altogether.

It’s for a General Manager who knows that there is a lot more to running a restaurant business than just following ever stricter budgets and doing the same thing day in, day out. It’s for those who want the term “my guests” to actually mean something. Perhaps most importantly, it’s for those in companies who don’t want to lose the fire in their belly simply because their current company has got nothing else to offer them.

If this sounds like you, send your CV over and we’ll have a look at it for you.
