YOUR ROLE
We are currently recruiting for a Freight Account Manager to join our highly successful, market-leading International Road Logistics team. Due to continued growth and investment, we are seeking a Sales Executive who will be responsible for generating new business and promoting our freight services to both potential clients and existing customers. This role will encompass full account management, from initial telesales through to delivery, with the Account Manager expected to drive profit growth through effective customer management. We are looking for enthusiastic, innovative, and motivated individuals with a genuine passion for sales. The ideal candidate will go the extra mile to understand the unique needs of each customer, providing a tailored account management service that adds real value to their business. The role also requires offering unrivalled accountability within the industry.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- To work within the Road logistics international operational team who are managing vehicles and shipments on behalf of mainly general cargo customers, for FTL and LTL, ensuring all necessary operational duties and functions are in accordance with specific working instructions and customer SOPs.
- Ensure customer excellence.
- Ensure full compliance in all aspects of the road freight import, export, cross trade and domestic distribution operation.
- Build relationships with all stakeholders.
- Build relationships with all colleagues to ensure a smooth operation.
- Operate Vehicles - with a comprehensive understanding of line haul routes, driving hours and other legislation.
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES
- Experience with transport planning or understanding of it.
- Excellent Customer Service Skills.
- Knowledge of current Customs Procedures.
- Ability to work well as a team member.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Competent in MS Office.
