As a Business Application Manager, you will play a key role in understanding business cases and processes related to critical business applications, with a strong emphasis on compliance and legal systems. How you will create impact:
- Collaborate with and consult stakeholders to understand business needs, recommend application enhancements, and drive the adoption of best practices.
- Participate in strategic planning to align application services with business goals, staying abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies.
- Oversee configuration and maintenance of various business applications (ideally contract lifecycle management, Global Service Desk), ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
- Provide advanced technical support to end-users, addressing and resolving application-related issues on agreed service level agreements.
- Develop and deliver training sessions for end-users (in collaboration with our Learning & Skill development team), create detailed documentation, and maintain up-to-date knowledge bases.
- Liaise with software vendors for support, updates, and enhancements, ensuring service level agreements are met.
- Define, operate and continuously improve services based on the relevant applications.
- Implement and enforce security protocols, ensure compliance with relevant regulations, and support regular audits in collaboration with the IT Security Team.
- Continuously monitor application performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement improvements to enhance efficiency.
- Manage incident resolution and problem-solving processes, conducting root cause analysis and implementing preventive measures.
Your profile:
- Apprenticeship as IT specialist or bachelor’s degree in information systems, computer science, IT, or a related field.
- Extensive experience in IT application support or a similar role.
- Proven experience in managing and supporting business applications, including service desks and contract lifecycle management platforms.
- Experience with SAAS enterprise software solutions and cloud technologies.
- Advanced communication skills to effectively convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- A keen focus on user satisfaction, understanding their needs, and ensuring applications meet their expectations.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
