Team Horizon is seeking a Project Engineer for a pharmaceutical company in Cork.

This position reports to the Capital Project Manager. This is a varied role, and you will be involved in everything from completing feasibility studies to leading commissioning and validation activities at a growing pharmaceutical manufacturing plant. This is an 18 month FTC contract role.

What you will be doing:

β€’ Project management of the execution of capital engineering projects within the site.

β€’ Support the Operations Engineering Team in controlling uptime of process equipment and optimizing efficiencies both in equipment and process performance.

β€’ Improve the operations and reliability of equipment and processes by the successful identification and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives.

β€’ Liaise with Internal/External Engineering Personnel and contract maintenance providers in maintaining, troubleshooting and installing/commissioning equipment.

β€’ Leadership of equipment commissioning and validation activities as part of capital project execution.

β€’ Work closely with cross-functional teams from other departments to deliver the site capital project portfolio.

β€’ Prepare feasibility studies and budget management for all assigned capital projects.

β€’ Support all major site initiatives and sites core goals.

β€’ Prepare Requests for Capital Expenditure (RCE) for site capital projects.

β€’ Liaise with Global Engineering as required – eCOPs (engineering communities of practice), Engineering forums, etc.

β€’ Responsible for all Engineering contractor management on-site, required to deliver capital projects i.e. ensure safety standards are met, and safe working practices adhered to at all times – RAMS, permit to work, training records, etc.

β€’ And any other duties as assigned.

What you need to apply:

β€’ Degree in a relevant Engineering subject area – Chemical/Process/Mechanical Engineering preferred.

β€’ Strong previous pharmaceutical experience is essential (minimum 7-10 years).

β€’ Knowledgeable/competent with executing change control.

β€’ Knowledge of cGMP and regulatory requirements relating to the pharmaceutical industry.

β€’ Demonstrated relevant site experience of one or more of the below: Oral Solid Dose (OSD) equipment (tablet press, roller compaction, tablet coater, material handling – post hoists, blenders, milling – conical mills, etc).

β€’ Cleanroom processing/utilities – HVAC, CIP systems, Purified water generation and distribution systems, Nitrogen, etc.

β€’ Nice to have experience Experience of process engineering, with relevant experience of batch processing, automation, project management, commissioning and validation, equipment reliability and continuous improvement is desirable.

β€’ Trackwise change control system experience.

β€’ Electrical background – competency with electrical system design & installation (process equipment and site electrical infrastructure), familiar with ATE
