We are looking for a Junior Producer to work on the branded content we create for our clients and the social media content we create for our own channels. You’ll need to be super proactive, organised and already have video production experience (but we’re looking for talent over years of experience, for sure). We’re also after someone comfortable with editing and preferably capable of filming some shots and sequences for socials.
About us: We are a small, award-winning production company that works with a combination of well-known global brands like Google and Sky, smaller companies and charities. We have taken the fast-paced, creative nature of our background in TV news and prime-time television to the world of branded content.
The role: Here’s a bit more detail about the two parts of the job. First, you will be working within our talented and lovely production team, supporting project managers and producers as we make branded content for our clients. Your week will vary, involving a mix of creative and logistical tasks. During pre-production, you’ll be working with a producer on scripts, putting together interview questions, conducting pre-interview calls with contributors, preparing storyboards, creating shoot schedules and briefing crew. During production you’ll likely find yourself doing things like stock footage research, commissioning graphics with our in-house designer, and assisting on shoots. And during post-production it’ll be things like doing paper edits and sourcing music tracks for the edit.
The other aspect of this role is helping to create content for our own social channels. This means coming up with ideas, being able to shoot and edit simple yet engaging video content, and writing copy for that content in our tone of voice, for LinkedIn and Instagram in particular. You’ll be guided by one of Middle Table’s directors, but we want someone who is proactive and on top of trends.
When it comes to technical skills, being able to edit in Adobe Premiere is essential. We’d also like someone with experience producing and filming content on phones (being able to use a professional camera would be a major bonus but isn’t vital). While this position has a dual role, you'll have clear guidance and support from our team to ensure a manageable and structured workload. We pride ourselves on being a fun, nurturing team who take our work, but not ourselves, too seriously.
Our staff get a health and well-being allowance, an extra day of holiday for every year of service, a monthly lunch on us, and crucially, daily snacks with limited nutritional benefit. You’ll be working from our office in London, close to Old Street station.
- At least one year of production experience in branded content (TV production will be considered)
- Experience with call sheets, contributor briefings, fact-checking, assisting a director
- Producing on location
- Project scheduling
- Sourcing relevant industry suppliers
- Briefing crew
- Good knowledge of Adobe Premiere
- Editing short sequences and clips
- Some shooting experience
- Preparing simple proposals and/or decks
- Strong knowledge of the production process from pre through to post
- Posting content and writing copy for social channels
Application details: Please apply with your CV. We’d also love it if you can provide us with a single sentence that describes any piece of content we’ve made at Middle Table. Creativity and succinctness are both welcome. The application deadline is 5pm on Thursday April 17th.
