My client is seeking an experienced Technical Applications & Service Engineer to join their thriving business in Leicester. This role is responsible for providing expert technical support on products and projects, assisting with electrical wiring, and contributing to new product development. The position will also involve regular on-site service work and customer interactions, requiring flexibility to meet project and client needs. The successful candidate will work closely with the technical team and other departments to ensure high-quality service, product reliability, and efficient project execution.
Key Responsibilities- Provide on-site technical assistance, troubleshooting, and maintenance to ensure optimal product performance.
- Assist in wiring and technical configurations, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Support the processing and management of orders to maintain seamless production flow.
- Deliver technical training to customers, ensuring proper usage and understanding of products.
- Work alongside production teams to improve product assembly and operational efficiency.
- Provide technical insights and documentation to support the sales team in customer engagements.
- Perform additional tasks as required to support the technical department's objectives.
- Degree in mechanical engineering.
- A full UK driving licence to facilitate site visits; a pool car will be provided.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in standard office software applications.
- Experience with 2D and 3D CAD systems (preferably AutoCAD and SolidWorks).
- Prior experience working as a Service Engineer (or similar).
- Available for extensive travel; some trips could be up to 6 weeks.
