What you will be doing

This is an exciting time to join Breathe. Having proven the value of our products in both the automotive and consumer electronics spaces, we are scaling our engineering team to deliver Breathe products into all-new customer applications. This is an opportunity to join the Software Projects team in a customer-facing role, where you will work with some of the brightest minds in the battery space to design and deploy our latest software into embedded products designed by some of the worlds largest and best-known automotive and device manufacturers.

Your day to day

  • Responsible for the integration and delivery of high-quality software into a variety of embedded systems
  • Develop software based on state-of-the-art controllers to deliver enhanced battery performance according to best practices and industry standards
  • Liaise with customers to define requirements, design interfaces and to resolve integration challenges
  • Collaborate with internal teams to continuously improve our software products, tools and engineering processes, driving efficiency and automation in all aspects of your work

Your background

  • Proficiency developing Model-Based software algorithms in Simulink and scripting in MATLAB
  • Experience designing and debugging software on embedded systems and microcontrollers
  • Experience with Real-Time control and modelling techniques
  • Working knowledge of software development best practises, including version control (e.g. Git)
  • Experience with Embedded C/C++/Python is a plus
  • Domain knowledge of batteries and/or battery management systems (BMS) is a plus
  • Experience with automotive standards (AUTOSAR, ISO26262, ASPICE) is a plus
  • Proven experience working with other departments in a kind and conscientious manner
