About the Role:
Award-winning architecture studio is looking to add a Senior Architect with fantastic luxury residential project experience to the London team. You will have the opportunity to take creative control over big budget heritage and luxury residential projects assisted bya team of passionate designers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Initiate design projects, developing briefs and concept designs.
- Produce concept sketches and ideas using hand-drawing techniques and computer-based tools.
- Exhibit exceptional 3D visualization skills to effectively convey design concepts.
- Act as a crucial link between the Directors and the delivery design team, ensuring seamless collaboration with in-house specialists and external consultants.
- Engage effectively with clients to understand their needs and feedback.
- Supervise the production of planning drawings and coordinate with the design team.
- Prepare Design and Access Statements and manage the submission of Planning and Listed Building Consent applications.
- Organize and attend pre-submission meetings with Planning and Design Officers.
- Ensure smooth discharge of consent conditions throughout the project lifecycle.
Candidate Requirements:
- A minimum of 5 years post-Part III experience in a professional practice within the UK.
- Proven experience working on high-end luxury residential or hotel projects with a contract value of £5 million and above.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with clients.
- Exceptional sketching and drafting capabilities.
- Proficiency in conceptualizing and interpreting spatial designs in three dimensions.
- Confidence in collaborating with Directors to develop briefs during RIBA Stages 0-2.
- Experience liaising seamlessly with Directors and technical delivery teams to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Expertise in concept design and planning applications, including supervising planning drawings and coordinating with the design team.
