We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Gas Planner/Scheduler to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing the schedules of our gas engineers across Manchester and Lancashire. Your primary goal will be to ensure efficient and effective use of resources to meet customer needs and service targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diary Management: Organise and maintain the diaries of gas engineers, ensuring optimal scheduling to maximise productivity and minimise downtime.
  • Appointment Scheduling: Coordinate appointments with customers, taking into account engineer availability, location, and job requirements.
  • Resource Allocation: Allocate resources effectively to ensure timely completion of jobs and adherence to service-level agreements.
  • Communication: Act as the main point of contact between customers and engineers, providing updates and resolving any scheduling conflicts.
  • Data Management: Maintain accurate records of appointments, job completions, and engineer availability using our scheduling software.
  • Problem-Solving: Address and resolve any scheduling issues or conflicts that arise, ensuring minimal disruption to service delivery.
  • Reporting: Generate and analyse scheduling reports identifying trends and areas for improvement.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a scheduling or planning role, preferably within the gas or utilities industry.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in scheduling software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of the Manchester and Lancashire areas is a plus.
