For Companies As a result of continued success and growth and an expanding workload of Civil Engineering projects, this construction company is looking to recruit a self-motivated Quantity Surveyor with relevant experience at Senior QS or QS level to be based at their Glasgow site.
The successful candidate will:
- Hold relevant experience gained within a Civils and Construction environment
- Be able to prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets for projects
- Prepare tender documents, contracts and agreements
- Conduct site visits to assess progress and ensure compliance with specifications
- Negotiate contract variations and claims
- Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills and be comfortable in a client-facing role
- Ability to manage and deliver projects in a timely manner
- Maintain accurate records of financials relating to specific projects
Qualifications and experience:
- Strong understanding of cost controls and principles
- Excellent analytical skills
- Ideally a knowledge of construction methods
- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or equivalent
