Paradigm Consulting, an established and growing business, have a new opening for an experienced Insurance Risk Surveyor. As we celebrate 20 years in business, we continue to grow while maintaining a strong, value-led company culture.
Geographic Coverage
We are currently recruiting surveyors nationwide across all areas of the country. Successful candidates will be assigned to surveys within a 2-hour radius of their home location.
About the Role
- Managing your own workload of Property Insurance/Perils risk surveys.
- Working primarily from home, traveling directly to client sites.
- Managing and updating online portals to ensure information is recorded safely, promptly, and correctly.
- Production of reports through online systems.
- Carrying out safe and correct property surveys, efficiently and accurately.
- Being a part of the surveying team in delivering a high-quality service.
- Ensuring that workloads are handled in a professional and timely manner.
- Building, maintaining and enhancing relationships with our clients.
- Monthly travel to company HQ in Surrey for team integration and meetings.
Responsibilities of the Role
- Working both independently and with other surveyors/admin team.
- File and data management.
- Managing travel requirements.
- Diary management.
- Carrying out tasks with skill, care, and diligence, in accordance with expected market and company standards.
- Liaison with stakeholders.
What Skills Required?
- Health & Safety - understanding the principles of risk and risk management.
- Fire and Perils - examining plans, construction and fire protection systems to assess the risks to a building and its contents.
- Excellent observational skills and attention to detail.
- An enquiring mind.
- A methodical approach to gathering information.
- Good communication skills.
- An assertive but tactful and persuasive manner.
- Understanding of technical information and plans, and the ability to explain them clearly to non-experts.
- Strong report-writing skills.
- Computer skills and proficiency in relevant software.
- The ability to work alone and as part of a team.
- Valid driving license for regular travel to site visits.
- Previous experience in conducting Risk Surveys.
