Working with a leading E-commerce company we are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to optimise software deployment and enhance the performance of high-traffic websites and apps.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines to streamline deployments and improve release cycles.
- Monitor and optimise website performance, ensuring high availability and fast load times.
- Implement and manage caching solutions (eg, Squid Cache) to reduce latency.
- Enhance system observability through logging, monitoring, and alerting tools (Elastic Search, Kibana, New Relic, etc.).
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and QA teams to improve DevOps practices within an Agile framework.
- Ensure security compliance with UK regulations (UK-GDPR, PCI-DSS) and OWASP best practices.
- Support disaster recovery planning and backup strategies.
What We're Looking For:
- Considerable experience in DevOps/Site Reliability Engineering for high-traffic systems.
- Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab) and performance monitoring (New Relic, Lighthouse).
- Strong Scripting and automation skills (PowerShell, Bash).
- Familiarity with networking, security best practices, and caching technologies.
- Agile development experience with a focus on secure coding principles.
Desirable:
- Experience in B2C E-commerce environments.
- Knowledge of C#, Java, .NET, and relational/document-oriented databases.
- API development experience (SOAP, RESTful, LDAP).
