The predicted salary is between 48000 - 72000 £ per year.

The role requires an engineer with excellent radar and DSP technical expertise to support the maintenance and the development of the service and capability., * Deploy as member of the trial delivery team. This may include deploying on-board the RN platform being measured and operating the carry on-board equipment.

  • Trials team leadership of the measurement team where required

  • Support trial planning activities (technical, safety, security, logistics)

  • Complying with all Health and Safety and Environmental requirements at a particular trials site by working in accordance with the Trials Risk Assessment, the Site Health, Safety and Environmental Plan, and the Site Security Plan.

  • Provide technical expertise input to investment and customer projects

  • Support the delivery into service of the new RCS measurement and analysis capability

  • Participating in the effective and efficient operation of the RCS facility, proactively working to implement process improvements when identified.

  • Support facility engineering teams in maintaining/developing systems and equipment

  • Physics, engineering or mathematics background to degree level

  • Good written, oral and, communication skills

  • Relevant industry experience (>5 years)

  • Radar systems (general, front-end RF/MW sub-systems, antennas)

  • Physics (electromagnetism)

  • Digital Signal Processing

  • Radar Cross Section (RCS)

  • RF test and measurement

  • IT skills including use of word processors, spreadsheets and databases

  • Full driving licence
