Shunter/Loader - Night Shift

Yeovil

£14.82 per hour, weekly paid, plus Life Assurance, Pension Scheme, Recommend a Friend Scheme, Long Service Awards, Performance Awards and training and progression opportunities.

Our fabulous Yeovil Transport team are looking to recruit a Shunter/Loader to work the night shift. The shift runs from 6.30 p.m. to 6.30 a.m. 4 on, 4 off so will include weekends.

Your new role

Our vehicles don’t load themselves, which is where you come in! Duties will include loading and unloading vehicles in a safe, timely and efficient manner, making sure you communicate with both the drivers and the production team on site to ensure the smooth movement of both clean and dirty linen. In addition, you will be required to safely move vehicles around the yard and on and off the road. You will also be responsible for the general housekeeping of the transport area on-site to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

We are looking for candidates who first and foremost can work the shift pattern required. You will also be required to hold a CAT C/Class 2 driving licence, CPC and digi tacho card. The successful candidate will demonstrate a positive attitude, the ability to work as part of a team and flexibility in terms of hours. Previous experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided, but you will need to be able to lift heavy loads (towels, linen etc. in both bags and cages).

You must have proof of eligibility to work in the UK, be able to communicate in English, and be aged 18 or over.
