Job Specification:

  • Location: Harrow
  • Contract: Temp to perm
  • Full/Part Time: Full Time
  • Rate: £140-£200 p/d (DOE) (Paid to scale)
  • Hours: 8:00am – 3pm

Job Responsibilities:

  • Deliver PE lessons across key stages 3 and 4, ensuring a high standard of teaching and learning
  • Plan and prepare lessons that are engaging and challenging for all ability levels
  • Foster an inclusive environment, encouraging students to reach their full potential
  • Provide detailed and regular feedback on student achievement, progress, problems etc.
  • Promote good pupil behaviour, dealing promptly with conflict and incidents within and beyond the classroom in line with established policy
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues in the PE department and the wider school

The ideal candidate:

  • Qualified teacher status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Proven experience teaching PE in a secondary school setting.
  • Passion for PE and the ability to inspire students.
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage students of varying abilities.
  • A proactive and collaborative approach to working with colleagues and students.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.

  • Hold valid RIGHT TO WORK in the UK
  • Hold Enhanced Child DBS on the update service
  • Provide two professional references
