Headteacher – SEMH School
Location: Newbury
Salary: Up to £95,000 per annum + £5k welcome bonus + £5k relocation package

An exciting and rewarding opportunity has arisen for an experienced Headteacher to lead a specialist school catering for children and young people with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

We are looking for an inspirational leader with a strong track record in SEND/SEMH education who can drive strategic growth, improve outcomes, and foster a nurturing and inclusive learning environment. The ideal candidate will have the vision, resilience, and expertise to lead a dedicated team and ensure the continued success of the school.

Key Responsibilities

Provide strong leadership and strategic direction
Drive high standards of education and pastoral care
Inspire and develop staff to achieve their full potential
Ensure the school remains a supportive, inclusive, and engaging environment for all students

The Ideal Candidate

Proven experience as a Headteacher or senior leader in a SEND/SEMH setting
Strong leadership and people management skills
Passion for improving the lives of young people with additional needs
Ability to engage and collaborate with key stakeholders
