We are seeking an experienced Associate Director to join our expanding team in the Manchester area. With a growing portfolio of exciting projects, this is your chance to play a key role in driving innovation, leading talented teams, and influencing the future of transportation and infrastructure in both the public and private sectors.
About the Role:
As a leader in our organisation, you will oversee a multidisciplinary team focusing on kerbside management, sustainable travel, traffic, landscape, and highway design. You will be essential in developing and implementing growth strategies for the region, managing client relationships, and overseeing the delivery of high-quality projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership & Development: Lead and inspire a team of senior engineers, engineers, technicians, and apprentices while ensuring ongoing professional development and growth.
- Client Account Management: Act as the main point of contact for key clients, ensuring successful project delivery and fostering long-term relationships.
- Strategic Planning & Delivery: Assist in driving regional growth strategies and supporting the delivery of high-quality projects in various transportation and infrastructure disciplines.
- Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, developing new service areas. Prepare proposals, bids, and estimates to secure new work.
- Financial Management: Ensure projects are delivered within budget and contribute to meeting the regional financial performance targets.

We are seeking a self-starter with a proven track record in leading complex transportation and infrastructure projects. You possess excellent relationship-building skills, a sharp business acumen, and a passion for promoting sustainability and innovation in the transportation sector.
Qualifications & Experience:
- A relevant degree or extensive industry experience in transportation and design.
- Chartered or working towards Chartered status (ICE/CIHT) – membership of relevant professional bodies is desirable.
- Extensive experience in transportation, infrastructure, and design.
- Proven leadership skills and experience managing multidisciplinary teams.
