ABOUT THE JOB

Gunzilla Games are looking to recruit a talented and experienced Release Manager to join our dynamic team for our game OTG (Off The Grid), an all-new AAA Battle Royale 2.0 third person shooter, due for release on PlayStation5, Xbox Series X|S and PC

The Release Manager will play a key role in managing the infrastructure and release processes for our multi-platform game OTG (Off The Grid), ensuring smooth and successful launches across various platforms and regions.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure compliance of products with game release and update requirements, while designing, implementing, and maintaining release pipelines and processes for multi-platform game project.
  • Foster collaboration and communication among teams to ensure compliance and successful release, collaborating with cross-functional teams to effectively plan release schedules and milestones.
  • Advocate for validation of compliance and compatibility requirements throughout development, overseeing the end-to-end release process, from build preparation and testing to deployment and post-launch monitoring.
  • Manage a centralized service for monitoring game and content readiness status, risks, and mitigation strategies, coordinating with development and QA teams to ensure builds are properly prepared, tested, and validated for release readiness.
  • Establish clear purposes for each delivered build, overseeing the integration and certification process for releasing games on various platforms.
  • Address day-to-day development issues and assess potential release impacts, managing communication and coordination with external partners to facilitate smooth release processes and compliance with platform requirements.
  • Collaborate with team leads to maintain accurate release information and schedules, coordinating release activities and communicating schedules, plans, and dependencies to cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Coordinate build deliveries, configure game products on store pages and platforms, providing regular status updates, metrics, and reports on release progress to stakeholders and senior management.
  • Maintain release documentation and manage critical information including build and release procedures, dependencies, and notification lists
  • Collaborate and communicate with Platform stakeholders about each game release, including overseeing age rating certification processes etc

REQUIREMENTS

  • 3+ years of experience in Senior QA, Release Manager, or Producer roles, with a proven track record managing multi-platform releases for AAA games.
  • Experience in live service operations, supporting regular build and content updates, and overseeing release scheduling, coordination, and certification processes.
  • Proficiency in game publishing strategies across PlayStation, Xbox, PC, and familiarity with 1st party submission procedures.
  • Strong project management skills, ability to navigate ambiguity, and excellent communication for accurate release data tracking.
  • In-depth knowledge of game development processes, release pipelines, and platform requirements for PC, console, and mobile.
  • Familiarity with version control systems, build automation tools, and release management platforms.
  • Passion for video games and commitment to delivering high-quality gaming experiences.
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners, including Build Engineers and Platform stakeholders.
  • Experience in addressing critical player issues post-release and resolving impactful cases swiftly.
  • Clear and concise communication skills to ensure 100% accuracy of release data tracking and reporting.
  • Experience of collaborating and communicating with Platform stakeholders about each game release
