Our client is committed to "Making Energy & Net Zero Simple," and as a Business Development Manager, you will play a key role in driving new sales growth while helping customers reduce energy costs and transition to net zero. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying and securing new business opportunities, supporting clients with procurement, energy audits, cost recovery, and net zero solutions. You will build strong relationships to understand client objectives and deliver tailored solutions that drive results. Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Prepare and present proposals, quotes and contracts to clients, ensuring alignment with the company’s portfolio offerings.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients.
  • Understand clients' sustainability goals and challenges to propose suitable solutions.
  • Conduct presentations, meetings, and workshops to educate clients on products.

Skills & experience required:

  • Proven experience in sales within the energy sector.
  • Demonstrable evidence of pipeline management that delivers and exceeds targets.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Passion for sustainability and to helping organisations decarbonise their business processes.
  • Degree educated in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Engineering, or related field. Qualification by experience will be considered alongside evidence of success in a similar role.

Salary: Up to £75,000 – OTE uncapped
