Our client is seeking a dedicated electrical professional to join their team as a Street Lighting Engineer in the Glasgow area. The Role:
As a Street Lighting Engineer, you will play a key role in the maintenance, installation, and repair of street lighting and associated electrical systems. You will ensure that all work complies with safety regulations and industry standards, contributing to a safer and more efficient urban environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out the installation, maintenance, and repair of street lighting, illuminated signs, and electrical street furniture
- Ensure compliance with IEE Wiring Regulations and electrical industry Health & Safety standards
- Conduct fault diagnosis, testing, and inspections on electrical systems
- Work collaboratively with internal teams and external contractors to deliver high-quality services
- Keep accurate records of work completed and ensure all documentation is up to date
About You:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A minimum of an Electrical Apprenticeship
- A recognised Electrical Industry Health & Safety qualification
- Up-to-date knowledge of IEE Regulations
- A strong understanding of electrical systems and maintenance procedures
- A proactive approach and excellent problem-solving skills
- A full UK driving licence
