We are looking for someone with expertise and extensive experience in massive construction projects relating to retail parks, warehouse ‘shed’ facilities or logistics parks. Must have extensive experience in industrial warehouse ‘shed’ construction. Someone who loves working for an SME and can be a key player in a billion £ project. You must have had full decision-making responsibility and be able to decide on what and how to construct certain elements. Be commercially super savvy and work as if it were your own business and your own project!
This is a long-term career opportunity. All developments and construction projects are based in Suffolk. The right person will have not only the right experience, construction project exposure and leadership but also the right mindset. A problem solver. How can we do it better, and cheaper with even more quality, twice as fast? Must have experience in industrial warehouse ‘shed’ construction.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategic plans to drive business growth and market expansion
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including potential partnerships and collaborations
- Lead and participate in business development activities, such as networking events, industry conferences, and client meetings
- Demonstrate the ability to take ownership of varied in-house projects
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction and retention
- Ensure all projects comply with relevant industry standards, regulations, and best practices
We’re looking for:
- An experienced Head of Construction / Construction Director with warehouse ‘shed’ construction experience
- Excellent hands-on direction and leadership skills
- Ideally MRICS/MCIOB qualified
- Must be flexible in hours of work and travel
- Candidate to be able to demonstrate strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills
- Proficiency in relevant software (e.g., MS Office, project management tools)
