Our client is a specialist consultancy providing environmental services to the construction industry. We are seeking an Environmental Advisor for a people-focused and innovative consultancy providing excellence to the renewable energy sector and beyond.
You will receive guidance and technical support with specific training and mentoring combined with work ownership on site coupled with a generous salary and benefits package.
The Role – Environmental Advisor – Construction
- Support clients in the post planning consent and construction phases
- Influence design, develop and review environmental management project documents
- Provide site based environmental management, advisory services & site based environmental assurance support. Weekly site visits required
Key Attributes Required
- UK driving licence
- Onsite construction support experience or knowledge
- Working to project deliverables and managing workload
- A relevant degree in Environmental Management or a related discipline
- An understanding of current environmental legislation, policy trends, guidance and regulatory frameworks
Desirable Attributes
- Working knowledge of environmental and ecological constraints during construction, along with appropriate mitigation measures
- Experience working with contractors to deliver advice and mitigation on site to ensure client commitments are met, ideally within the role of Environmental Clerk of Works
- Ability to build effective relationships with clients, contractors and regulators
- An understanding of relevant regulatory framework e.g. CAR, SuDS, EIA, flood risk
- A good understanding of standard guidance for pollution prevention
- Demonstrable problem solving/contingency planning skills with ability to find quick, innovative and practical solutions
