The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.

Full Time, 55 hours/week

Role and Responsibilities

  • To ensure the plant is maintained and operable and available for work all of the time.
  • To maximise plant processing availability.
  • To minimise plant downtime and or non-productive time.
  • To complete the array of daily, weekly checks associated with running a modern large-scale production facility.
  • To accurately complete all associated check sheets, recording relevant detail and data as required.
  • Assisting to implement and manage a planned preventative maintenance programme & maintenance schedules (PPM).
  • Planning maintenance/shut downs/outage works.
  • Ensure faults are identified and rectified in a timely manner.
  • To understand the process flow - to be able to fault resolve and problem solve to limit production loss.
  • Help manage the installation of new machinery & the refurb of existing plant as and when necessary liaising with Suppliers accordingly.
  • React quickly and accordingly to breakdowns on site.
  • Liaise with & manage external contractors where necessary.
  • Prepare detailed schedules of work, feasibility studies and cost estimates; ensuring compliance at all times with company procedures and health & safety legislation.
  • Liaising with internal management to ensure best practice is maintained.
  • Carry out daily & weekly site inspections and ensure actions are closed out.
  • Ensure legal requirements are adhered to and processes in place for your service area.
  • Ensure the Maintenance Manager is aware of all functions, processes, concerns and requirements at all times.

Experience

  • Similar experience within a waste related field.
  • Engineering/Maintenance/Electrical Experience.
  • Previous Experience of Implementing Planned Maintenance Schedules.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Certificates in the various applications/equipment used as a Fitter ie. Welder, grinder advantageous.
  • H&S certificates advantageous.
  • Level of spoken and written English to enable check sheets and Procedures to be understood and written.

  • Essential reasonable English.

  • Essential flexibility with regards to hours worked.
