This is an exciting and varied role offering an opportunity to join a leading eCommerce software provider in the print marketplace. The role would suit someone who is interested in working in a friendly, fast-paced environment with experience in bookkeeping and simple accounts tasks. The ideal candidate will have the ability to be discreet, diplomatic, reliable, trustworthy and communicate well with both customers and other team members.

In this role you will be working closely with the managing director to help with all aspects of business accounting and administration. This is an office based role and would suit someone who is looking for part-time work, with flexible hours. The successful applicant will live within easy commuting distance of our Kendal office, although hybrid working arrangements will be possible after an initial induction period. Full training will be given.

Duties include:

  • Day-to-day management in our CRM and accounting software, maintaining order and customer records
  • Processing of customer and supplier orders, invoices and payments
  • Controlling and chasing overdue payments
  • Bank transaction reconciliation
  • Supporting our accountants with the preparation of VAT returns and annual accounts
  • Adhoc administration tasks to help the project and support teams
  • Handling communications with existing clients to maintain good relationships

Required skills and experience:

  • Positive attitude
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook) and other software packages
  • Experience with Quickbooks Online
  • Excellent organisational skills able to perform duties with minimal supervision
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills along with a team focused approach
  • 12 months commercial experience in a related role
  • Education ideally to A level GCSE or equivalent

Job Type: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: £12.50 per hour

Hours: 15 - 20 per week - Flexible spread across a minimum of 3 days per week

Location: LA9 4BD
