My client is a family run business, seeking a driven and enthusiastic administrator to join a busy site office within a production workshop.
Duties of the Site Administrator:
- All on-hires / off-hires of machines, cranes and small equipment as instructed by site managers.
- Keep comprehensive record of all on hires, off hires and purchases to effectively check all invoices.
- Deal with machine breakdowns and organise repairs from hire companies.
- Monitor any machine/crane breakdown charges from the suppliers and challenge where necessary.
- Finish off all RAMS and distribute to correct site managers.
- Order all site bolts/HD Bolts/Phase bolts.
- Order and distribute all PPE and Lifting gear.
- Ensure all test certs & H+S paperwork is in place before starting on site.
- Maintain site training records and reapply for CSCS/CPCS cards, as necessary.
- Check off all invoices from above mentioned records and chase credits where required.
- Arrange accommodation for erectors, as necessary.
- Organise all deliveries; ensure people know when they will be going to site & that appropriate plant will be there to offload it.
- Keep site planner up to date.
- Look after general day to day things like drawings, missing items, site requirements etc.
- Analyse the tracking system to complete the erectors weekly timesheets.
- Site van vehicle maintenance including MOTs, servicing, repairs, and tyres.
- Work as part of a small team, providing cover where required.
- Liaising with site teams (foremen & erectors) to ensure the smooth running of projects.
The right candidate must have strong IT skills, specifically Microsoft Office, Word & Excel, and will thrive in a fast-paced and busy environment. Experience gained within construction or the steel erection industry would be beneficial.
Salary: £14.50/£15.50 per hour with a review after six months. Hours are 8.00am to 4.30pm Monday to Thursday, 8.00am to 2.30pm Friday. Company pension. 20 holidays plus bank holidays.
