Are you an experienced senior leader in the social housing sector looking for your next step? Do you have a proven track record of successful change management and experience in a leadership position that will play a key role within the team to deliver excellent value for money services to residents? If so, we have an excellent opportunity for you to join a forward-thinking Housing Association as their Assistant Director of Business Change within our Property Repairs & Maintenance service.

About the role:

Responsible for the research, development and project management of improvements, designed to enhance the delivery of value for money repair services across Bernicia's areas of operation. Reporting to the Managing Director, you'll drive improvements that respond to our tenants and business needs, and help manage a high-quality, cost-effective and efficient service.

About you:

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent and/or professionally qualified in construction management or a related discipline and/or the ability to demonstrate relevant experience.
  • Experience in the delivery of efficient, compliant and customer focused repairs and maintenance services within a social housing setting.
  • Demonstrate a track record of proven experience of leadership, motivation and engaging teams and successfully delivering the required outcomes in a performance driven culture.
  • Proven ability to effectively manage budgets, analyse trends and build up forecasting ensuring value for money and demonstrate commercial acumen.
  • You will have strategic and operational budget and contract management experience reflecting the scale and complexity of our services, being able to manage and deliver service improvements whilst achieving efficiency and excellent customer service.
  • Experience in delivering change management processes.
  • You'll have an extensive knowledge of the legal framework within which our services work and you will also be able to build strong and effective business relationships, both internally and externally.
  • Experience of consulting with customers/stakeholders and transforming ideas into actions.
  • Full driving licence.
