A leading, established and highly successful provider of mechanical and electrical installation services to commercial and industrial buildings seeks the appointment of a skilled Mechanical Project Engineer from an M&E / Building Services mechanical installation projects background to join their exciting planned growth and continued success.

You will be involved with projects that can range from £1.5M-£20M. Candidates highly sought after are those naturally from an M&E / Building Services background, ideally with direct working experience in the project delivery of mechanical installations and all mechanical related services you would expect to find in commercial and industrial environments.

You will be responsible for supporting and enhancing the delivery of a project from a technical aspect. This role reports to a Project Manager or Contracts Manager and is both office and site based as necessary to support project requirements.

You will become familiar with all the project details, design and specifications whilst collating technical submittals detailed by the Contracts / Project Manager and then manage this process. Candidates sought will have experience of RFIs and keeping RFI schedules up to date, organising plant and equipment, checking that the correct and up to date drawings are being utilised on site, monitoring compliance of subcontractors, attending site meetings, communicating with QSs and ensuring any variations are met with the right materials.

You will manage the compliance of all Building Regulations, Standards and Health & Safety Regulations, EHSQ policies and compile the Operations and Maintenance Manuals for commissioning and handover.

Should you have this kind of experience, or certainly most of it, have a Bachelor Degree Level in Engineering or a Mechanical trade background in a similar discipline, have a comprehensive understanding of the tendering process, a working knowledge in MS Project, MS Office Suite and are willing to learn and adapt to different elements of a project, then we want to hear from you for immediate consideration.
