We are currently seeking a proactive Maintenance Surveyor to join a dynamic Property & Facilities team based in London. This role, reporting to the Property Surveyor, offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the maintenance and compliance of a diverse portfolio, including residential, commercial, retail, and community spaces across a 13-acre site.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond promptly to reactive repair requests, assessing technical issues and recommending efficient solutions.
  • Supervise in-house maintenance staff and external contractors to ensure high-quality, professional service delivery.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues, tenants, and residents regarding proposed works and their impact.
  • Maintain accurate records in internal systems, ensuring up-to-date information availability.
  • Mitigate property-related risks and liaise with suppliers to procure suitable materials.

Requirements:

  • ONC/HNC in building-related studies, ideally certified in surveying.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in responsive maintenance, preferably within social housing.
  • Proficiency in site investigations (e.g., damp, structural inspections) and building trades.
  • Knowledge of health and safety standards (IOSH, Asbestos awareness, etc.) and practical experience in related protocols.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple inspections and deadlines effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, coupled with good IT proficiency.
