If you’re a natural leader with established experience within a commercial retail environment, have a passion for home furnishings and are looking to grow your career with IKEA, this may be the perfect role for you!

WHAT WE OFFER
  • Starting salary of £30,000 per annum dependent on skills and experiences.
  • 39 hours a week, working 5 days over 7 (including 1 - 2 late shifts a week), including alternate weekends.
  • We operate 7 days a week to meet the shopping needs of our guests, so this role will require availability to work during the day, late evenings and full weekends.
  • We are happy to discuss flexibility and your availability at interview.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO HAVE

You will be a natural leader with established experience within a commercial retail environment. You enjoy working collaboratively with your team and the wider business. Likewise, you are able to inspire your team of co-workers to achieve common goals and can encourage others to go the extra mile to exceed our guests’ expectations. You will have good communication skills that can help to build relationships and networks with people across different functions within the store. You can prioritise and take decisions as well as follow up and communicate progress. You will be someone who believes in and can work in line with the IKEA Concept and Brand Identity.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY
  • Every day on the shop floor, you will lead by example by supporting and coaching your team of co-workers.
  • You work collaboratively with the Department Sales Manager to ensure your department is in excellent shape with the four merchandising basics always in place (priced, clean, well-assembled, and available).
  • Driven by a passion for the IKEA products, you seek to share your knowledge with guests and your team.
  • In a proactive way, you take advantage of commercial opportunities, ensuring the right number of products are available based on feedback, local market needs and competition.
  • You and your team actively steer your department to maximise sales and long-term profitability.
  • You actively promote the IKEA social and environmental commitment and work with your team to understand how, together, you can contribute to sustainability.
