An opportunity has arisen for a position of Residential Support Worker to work in a Children’s home providing short breaks to children with disabilities. The position involves providing care and support to enable children to progress and develop to reach their full potential. Part of the care provided will be to support independence, social skills and community based activities to achieve positive outcomes for all children. You will also undertake key-worker duties for specific children advocating on behalf of the child to parent/carers and other professionals.

You will be working in an established and friendly team in a home from home environment, the role will include working mornings, evenings, weekends and school holidays, staff are expected to undertake occasional sleep in duties. GCC provide a training and development programme which is available to all teams. You will be expected to attend mandatory training and team meetings as required for the role.
