About the role
We’re looking for an experienced partnership sales professional to support the Head of Partnership Development to deliver continued commercial growth for the Club by identifying and securing partnership deals with brands worldwide, maintaining trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including partner agencies. Managing the full deal cycle from inception through to close, arranging meetings, building proposals, presentations and contract negotiation. It will be critical to drive commercial partnership opportunities by forming important business connections through strong networking. This role will require dedication and persistence in order to build a consistently growing pipeline of opportunities to secure.
Working closely with the Partnership Services team to utilise data and insights, you will be comfortable creating high quality, bespoke proposals with a suitable narrative to pitch to potential commercial partners. The role will require attendance at prospect meetings and industry conferences, whether nationally or abroad.
Your impact
Proactively prospecting new potential partners and contacting key decision makers at targeted organisations for conversations around partnership opportunities with the Club, you will have significant experience in, and be comfortable with, working to and exceeding challenging targets in line with the Club’s partnership development strategy. You will have extensive experience in closing significant commercial partnerships and achieving business to business sales targets, preferably in an elite sporting environment. You will have demonstrable experience and success in a Partnership / Sponsorship sales role with the ability to clearly and confidently communicate with customers and stakeholders from all levels, especially when pitching proposals and negotiating terms. You will also have experience of offering support and mentorship to other team members.

Joining our high performing Partnerships Team, you will be part of a growing and ambitious revenue generating function that directly contributes to our evolving partner portfolio. With experience and a strong network in sports sponsorship, we are collaborative and creative in our approach whether that be securing new partners, ideating innovative assets or approaching emerging categories. Our focus is on building a culture driven by teamwork, developing new opportunities and delivering results. We also work cross-departmentally with our colleagues to help build the most compelling propositions for partners.
Location
This role is based in Newcastle upon Tyne, with an expectation of working 3 days per week from the office. Please note, if you are not located in the Northeast and unable to relocate, we regret that we will not be able to progress your application.
