Maiden Marc Associates is working to add several associate and senior associate-level candidates to a leading boutique executive search firm that covers board and director-level placements into investment banking, private equity, technology, real estate, asset management, business services, and consumer clientele. They are consistently retained on C-Suite Level searches by some of the most prestigious institutions across EMEA, North America, and Asia and are widely considered one of the industry's best boutique retained search firms.
Established in 2000 with an ambition to become unrivalled in their market knowledge and reputation, they have succeeded in building a brand respected by clients, candidates, and competitors alike. As a business, they promote organic growth and foster a genuine meritocratic environment; almost all current Partners started within the firm as Associates and have grown with the business.
Joining in at either Associate or Senior Associate level with a base of £38,000 to £60,000 (depending on experience) plus a performance-weighted bonus structure, you will develop with the long-term aim of moving into a revenue-generating Consulting role as your sector knowledge increases through your career. This is achieved through a combination of 'on-desk' market exposure and a rotational development program perfected over their 20+ years of trading. This program gives Associates a balance of senior exposure and strategic involvement in the consulting, delivery and research process - rotating them across four coverage areas and allowing them to specialise in a chosen vertical over time based on performance and personal preference.
As you develop, you will be given responsibility for more significant parts of mandate management and delivery, including:
- Identifying, referencing, and assessing potential candidates for retained mandates
- Ongoing research and networking to source top performers from talent pools across their core markets
- Creating forensic competitor analysis, including strategic overviews, benchmarking, bespoke market and product intelligence reports through referencing and profiling market leaders
- Assisting and running the client-side execution of active mandates
- Conducting pre-pitch/origination research and due diligence, as well as proactively supporting strategic projects
- Active outreach and long-term relationship building with the top talent in the market
The typical profile of a successful candidate would include the following:
- Strong research and academic credentials with a degree or postgraduate qualification
- 1 to 5 years of commercial experience in executive search, headhunting, recruitment, or transferable professional service experience from consulting, expert networks, professional services environments or grad schemes
- A naturally inquisitive, structured, resilient, and disciplined personality with a high level of attention to detail
- An analytical thinking process alongside a well-rounded communication technique
- A drive to build a career in retained search within a respected industry leader
Please reach out if you meet the above criteria and are interested in learning more about this opportunity.
